Licensed Master Social Worker (she, her)

Clinical Social Work/Therapist and NYU Graduate

I’m Emily Briglia, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a dedicated therapist at Wellness Psychotherapy Services. My mission is to provide a nonjudgmental, affirming space where clients can explore self-compassion and understanding.

Therapeutic Philosophy:
People seek therapy for various reasons, and I am here to support you on your unique journey. Therapy is a transformative process, offering the opportunity to identify areas where you may be stuck, gain greater self-awareness, and empower you to build a life in alignment with your authentic self.

Approach to Therapy:
My approach is rooted in empathy, support, and collaboration. I believe that every person possesses internal resources and a profound capacity for growth. Together, we’ll work towards unlocking your potential and achieving your goals.

Therapeutic Modalities:
I bring a trauma-informed, feminist lens to my work, acknowledging the importance of creating a safe and empowering environment. My therapeutic toolbox includes various modalities such as psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and somatic techniques. This eclectic approach allows me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs.

Experience and Specialization:
I have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults of diverse identities who are navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your unique experiences and identity will be honored and respected in our work together.

Connect with Me:
I understand that finding the right therapist is crucial. I encourage you to reach out to explore whether I may be the right fit for you. Together, we can embark on a journey towards healing, self-discovery, and positive transformation.
