Clinical Social Worker at Wellness Psychotherapy Services
You know that moment when someone casually asks how you’re doing, and without thinking you say, “I’m fine”, even when privately you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like something just isn’t working anymore? Maybe you can’t fully name what’s off. But you know it’s there.
I’m Toby Singer, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and therapist at Wellness Psychotherapy Services. I work with people who are tired of glossing over how they’re really doing and who are ready for something more honest.
Therapeutic Philosophy:
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Therapy isn’t about performing wellness or arriving with the right words. It’s about slowing down, paying attention to what’s happening beneath the surface, and gradually building greater clarity, ease, and connection to yourself. I believe that the simple act of being truly heard, without judgment, is itself a powerful catalyst for change.
Approach to Therapy:
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and warm. I see our work together as a shared space where you don’t have to perform or have all the answers. We move at your pace, attending to what’s beneath the surface with curiosity rather than pressure, and working toward emotional clarity that feels real and sustainable.
Therapeutic Modalities:
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs, including psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship strain, life transitions, or a quiet but persistent sense that something needs to shift, we’ll work together to find an approach that fits.
Experience and Specialization:
I have experience working with individuals across a wide range of life experiences and challenges, including anxiety, relational difficulties, and major life transitions, including those moments when something feels wrong but you’re not quite sure what to call it yet. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities.
Connect with Me:
Finding the right therapist matters. If this profile resonates with you, if you’re ready to stop saying “I’m fine” on autopilot and start exploring what’s really going on, I’d be glad to connect and see if we’re a good fit. You deserve a space where you can finally say what you actually mean.
